It is that time of year again, where temperatures will finally begin to slowly increase, and more wildlife activity is on the rise. Just as humans like to stay indoors during the cold winter months, animals like to do the same. Now that Spring time is among us, birds are flocking and bees are buzzing. If you haven't already, get your home inspected for new nests popping up to ensure no wildlife is getting in.

Unlikely Friends In The Wild, But Close Living Quarters

3/12/2019

Here at All Around Animal Control, we pride ourselves in providing quality service, guaranteed repair work, and offering competitive pricing on nuisance animal removal and cleanup.  It is not everyday we capture two raccoons and a opossum so close together, which brings us to our main point. No matter the situation, the outside is wild, unpredictable, and always changing. Although these animals were not snuggling up next to one another, they were able to coexist in a very close setting; your home!

All the more reason to make it a point to get your home inspected yearly for new entry points found, chewed up material, or a new family of unwanted guests residing in your attic or crawlspace taking up shelter. Any preventative maintenance done on your residence is worth it in price compared to repair damage from animals reeking havoc on your hard earned investment. The damage alone is one price, then tack on a service call, an inspection charge, repair work, cleanup, and in some cases equipment rental. Needless to say, take care of your property, and have regular quality inspections done to ensure your home stays safe and pest free all year round.

With the weather bound to make some changes in the upcoming months, the warm air will be coming along with it. Great, because we are pretty much over the cold, rain and snow by now.

As temperatures start to rise, so the warmth in many home attics, which causes for an uncomfortable situation for any critters who had taken shelter during the winter months. Have you noticed more wildlife animals surrounding your home or in your neighborhood? Chances are the animals are feeling just as cooped us as we are, and are ready to train their little ones what the wild is all about.

By this time and throughout Spring, new litters and late litters will be sprouting up, and the only safe spot for these new babies to be, is safe, tucked away in your attic. With warmer temperatures, many creatures are out and about living their best lives, and therefore, too many predators are also lurking in the shadows waiting for their Spring feast.

Spring is a great time of year, because it brings new life all around us. If there is more animal foot traffic close to your home, there is no harm in getting your home inspected for any evidence of critters taking shelter in your residence.

Wildlife Animal Control is not for the faint of heart, or who are scared of animals. Not dogs or cats, but animals that roam free and live anywhere but your home. We are talking raccoons, squirrels, rats and other critters that surround the Hampton Roads and beyond.

For many home owners, it comes at no surprise, that they will contact animal control to take care of a nuisance animal that has breached their home walls, but the truth is, the city only is capable of handling so many calls, types of animals, limited working hours, and a varying wildlife population that resides within communities all over Virginia. In most cases, a pest control company is also not equipped to handle such tasks, and is not properly licensed with the DGIF for trapping and animal removal.

When there is a suspected animal sighting within a home, or a noise that can't be justified by home-age creeks. then it's important to contact a private and professional company that specializes in Virginia's vast wildlife. A Wildlife Control Expert and their specialists can inspect, remove, trap, and repair home damaged by nuisance animals.

There are numerous entry points leading into the inside of your home. If you find a suspicious hole, or see critters or pests continuously going to the same spot then disappear out view, chances are you may already have an unwanted guests. If they have a family nesting, then unwanted guests is more like it.

Sometimes, the entry points can be so discreet and hidden out of view. I mean, I wouldn't want to be seen by the homeowner, or predators out there either, so the best thing to do is hide. Considering the attic shields many nuisance wildlife from various weather conditions, it's only appropriate they take comfort in your home.

If find yourself unsure of the noises you have been hearing in the attic, or suspect animals coming and going with similar patterns to certain areas, call an expert wildlife technician to come out and do an inspection. The more proactive you are can mean the difference in the cost it could be down the road if the damage is caused by an unwanted attic guest or guests.

Have you ever noticed rice-like droppings in a tar black or dark brown color in your home, attic, and surrounding area near your home?

Upon further inspection, these trail of rat droppings are on top of insulation in an attic. It can be determined how bad the infestation is by the amount of droppings found in a given area. This will also be a determining factor if anything can be salvaged and cleaned up. If the damage is extensive, the insulation will need to be take out, and new insulation inserted back in. The cost can add up, however, the bacteria, and diseases that could arise would far outweigh the risk to keeping an contaminated insulation in your property.

If you are experiencing an infestation, or suspect rat droppings or any other unfamiliar droppings in or around your home, call a wildlife expert to do an inspection.
