TESTIMONIALS

"We had a possum problem under our house and All Around Animal Control showed up on a weekend to do the inspection and set the traps. They were willing to go under the house when others were not and caught the animal within a couple days. I was impressed by their professionalism and integrity. What they quoted is what they charged."

~ P. O.

"Very professional and helpful. Extremely knowledgeable and took care our bird situation quickly on a weekend! Went beyond and took care of screening certain areas to prevent further incidences. Recommend!"

~ A.M. - Portsmouth, VA

"Very quick response and nice professional job removing nesting material from front porch and screening of openings to prevent bird reentry. Joseph was friendly and did a great job."

DID YOU KNOW ABOUT SQUIRRELS:

It is the time of year when mother squirrels are producing their litters. Squirrels can have litters with as little as 2 kits,or baby squirrels, to 8 at a time. A mother squirrel can carry liters for 29 - 65 days and can produce a litter every few months. The kits are born blind, with no teeth and hairless. After about 5 days the begin to grow hair around the face. At 3 weeks the grow fur on their bodies, and at 4 weeks they have real fur and their teeth have grown in. By 5 weeks their eyes fully open. They depend on their mothers for their survival until they are about 16 weeks old, when they develop a sense of caution. At this point the will venture away from the nest but won't go more than 2 miles from the nest.

There are 3 types of squirrels; flying squirrels, tree squirrels, and ground squirrels. Squirrels are part of the Sciuridae family along with chipmunks, marmots, and prairie dogs. They are very territorial. Especially a mother squirrel protecting her kits. This is why it is important get a trained wildlife specialist to remove squirrels from the home if they do create a nest. While it is very low risk the a squirrel can pass on rabies to a human, the animals can attack to protect their territory or young!
